Welcome to Charsindera, the brainchild of Chef Kenji. Charsindera is where the Lowcountry and Andalucia meet. Where the Bayou and Bangkok collide. Charsindera goes beyond fusion, pairing opposing culinarian styles in a harmonious blend of palate pleasing indulgence. Charsindera brings you some of your all-time favorite dishes, with an international flair. Texas-styled brisket basted in Asian marinades, Gulf Coast shrimp smothered in Indian curries, or Southern Grits bedding Iberico Ham. The Vision
Growing up just outside of the Nation’s Capital, Chef Kenji spent time with people from all walks of life. With childhood best friends from Laos, Thailand, Puerto Rico and Italy, he was treated to all sorts of delectable meals. Being from a family with roots in Southern Virginia and Louisiana, there was no shortage of wonderful soul food inspired dishes. In adulthood, friends from Colombia, India, Africa and Germany only allowed for further exploration into the foodie world. Believing that food is a bridge that joins cultures, Chef Kenji envisioned what that would be……and Charsindera was born.
